1.
You curse all the others you identify as worse But you can’t understand why the others treat you just as bad And it isn’t the truth that you use to indoctrinate the youth You say you’ve the courage to spew your hate And you tell your kids their superiorities are innate And it isn’t the truth that you use to indoctrinate the youth You claim you’re the strongest and you’ll never run away But you sure get mad when you’re shaking on a different color hand And it isn’t the truth that you use to indoctrinate the youth You complain the show’s getting political again Through privelege you tune out the inequalities all around And it isn’t the truth that you use to indoctrinate the youth

about

This song is about the hypocrisy and posturing of the American right, and the way they target children for indoctrination. They have to because their ideology doesn't withstand the thorough examination of an intelligent adult mind; they need to plaster impressionable children with propaganda to create an evil soil where their ideas can grow by the time their targets reach voting age. If you grew up in Pennsylvania like I did, you were probably the target of intentional conditioning like this. Greed, fear, self-importance, misogyny, and patriotism are the disgraceful flags that the Republican party and the American right fly with simultaneous pride and guilt. Most of them know deep down they're wrong. And that's why they need to convert more and more impressionable and vulnerable minds to their cause: so they can hide behind their blinders and have scores of brainwashed victims to point to and say, "See? I'm not alone. There are so many of us. We are right!" It's not an accident.

Thanks for listening. ACAB. Black Lives Matter. Vote for socialist policies and don't give up.
