Recorded January - June 2020 in PA

While recording this album, a lot was changing around me. Inside me I began to feel some things I never had before. The pandemic took hold here in the US, and now we are on our way to 200,000 dead from it. So many of those lives could have been saved with leadership. Just more blood on the hands of our corrupt neighbors, legislators, police, and authority figures. In June a lot of us hit the streets to protest police violence and systemic racism in this country (some are still out there, peacefully standing up for good, and getting snatched for it). If you think we need police, you’re wrong. The people who told you that were feeding you propaganda, not the truth. We need social workers, not violence workers. This album, like this paragraph, is a loosely connected collection of odds and ends. Whatever they lack in plain coherence, they still represent truth and emotion. There’s a lot more that should be said. For today, let me conclude by pleading that you ditch whatever high school notion you absorbed that made you too cool to care about other people.
